We just sent our huge stack of dossier papers yesterday to our agency in Virginia! It will go through the capitol and get some signatures there and then it will be off to Ethiopia to be translated and processed. Meaning we will be on the list!!! The wait begins. Just so happy to be done with all that paperwork. It started Feb. 22nd, and was sent on Aug 25th! Almost exactly six months. The wait right now is 4-6 months for a referral (match with a baby) then after we get our referral we travel 2-4 weeks after accepting and attend court in Ethiopia after meeting our son. We come home without our little guy and travel again between 6 and 12 weeks after we get home. during our second trip we pick him up and bring him home!

To the Capitol and back...

Yesterday my friend Jessica and I drove up to our state's capitol to get two papers certified for our dossier. Basically they are certifying the notary that notarized those two papers is a real noary. We had a van full of kids and my dossier in hand. It was a fun time, and also very exciting, since this is one of the last items to be done. As I checked the mail when we got home, my birth certificate and picture were returned with a letter saying our passports are soon to follow! When we receive those we will be only waiting for one more paper:) I was thinking so much of our little boy last night, thinking about the day we will get a picture of him. I had a hard time going to sleep. I keep thinking of his birth mom, wondering what she is going through, and if we will get to meet her. We are so excited to meet our little boy...I feel so blessed to be going through this process! Can't wait till we see his face!
